Our Minneapolis Plunge festivities includes the Executive Challenge sponsored by Grand Casino Mille Lacs!
In 2017, more than 30 execs loosened their ties, tossed their suit jackets aside, and took an icy dip into Lake Calhoun, raising more than $220,000 for more than 8,200 Special Olympics Minnesota athletes. Here’s your chance to join this elite group of participants and take part in the 2018 Executive Challenge!
Take your pick: Executives can choose to either jump in to the icy water of Lake Calhoun on Friday, March 2, or participate in the Plunge 5K on March 3. Executives who choose to Plunge will jump along with FOX 9 Chief Meteorologist Ian Leonard live on FOX 9 news at 5 p.m. (pending breaking news). Executives participating in the 5K will lead off the walk/run Saturday morning and are invited to the live broadcast on Friday night (they just won’t have to get wet!).
Following the Plunge on Friday evening, executives and their guests are invited to join us inside our VIP tent for an evening they won’t forget! Speakers will include Ian Leonard and Special Olympics athletes, with great food provided by Grand Casino Mille Lacs. Executives will receive complimentary tickets for 10 guests. On Saturday, executives are encouraged to cheer on their corporate Plunge team at the main Plunge event and are invited to the VIP Lodge, where free food, entertainment and a live feed of the Plunge awaits—not to mention a warm place to hang out!
To participate, executives must raise a minimum of $10,000. This amount can include donations (from family, friends and coworkers), a corporate gift, an individual contribution, and/or proceeds from a special event.
